Candidate for Board of Finance,
Robyn Kasler
From the Candidate
My husband and I moved to Warren over 20 years ago. Although I grew up in the west end of Hartford, CT, I had spent a good portion of my life in big cities—Washington, DC, New York City and San Francisco. After a number of visits to Litchfield County, we began thinking it might be a nice change to live in the country.
It was a great choice. We are both happy here and the big city is just a train ride away.
My career started in commercial/corporate lending at a large regional bank. Next stop was New York City where I ran banking, cash management and long-term financing for a global ad agency. Was recruited by a division of the ad agency to run the financial operations of the company’s largest piece of business. And rotated into a marketing role that still included finance.
Left New York after 17 years for a small start-up company in San Francisco. And worked for the California branch of a quirky NY ad agency. When we moved to Warren, I became a partner/principal in a NY based snack food company until 2013 and was able to work out of our home here.
I am very appreciative that a former Warren Town Treasurer thought enough of me and my background to appoint me to fill out a member’s term on Warren’s Board of Finance, when the member could no longer serve.
The Board is very good at meeting challenges and solving any financial problems that may arise here. And it represents a great team of collaborative people working together for the same goal—our priority is always the residents of Warren.
